Ethan’s Procedure Yesterday

Yesterday Ethan was back in the hospital for a procedure to clean out his Liver ducts. Due to his condition they were clogged and causing back pain, tiredness, and slow thinking due to build up of Ammonia in the blood getting to his brain.

This was an endoscopy, so thankfully no cutting required! It took about 40 minutes and the results were immediate. They removed a bunch of stuff blocking the bile ducts and had him back in his room after he recovered from the Anastasia a bit. When I spoke with him shortly after getting back to his room, he was in good spirits and said he was feeling much better.

This morning, as I sit here in the hospital room with Ethan and Bridgett, he definitely seems to be feeling better, talking better, etc. We are so thankful for this outcome as it means he can continue working as he really wants to do this.

Pray that we can find a living donor soon. They keep saying “Ethan really needs to get a living donor”, so this is what we are asking for in faith. Several of us have already been rejected, so the more people we can get on the list the better.
